Job Summary:
Responsible for leading the effort to develop Alliance’s competencies across multiple dimensions including Business Development and Delivery Management with the Information Management Practice. Specifically, the Solution Architect (Practice Leader) will work with the SVP of Consulting Services and the EVP Mid-Atlantic Region to help define the market opportunity and lead the effort to “productize” and deliver to market repeatable Solution engagements through the Alliances Sales organization. The position will also have responsibility for the management and leadership of the Mid-Atlantic Solution Architects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-Develop a business plan to generate engagement revenue and margin in a market segment
-Create and replicate Solutions Frameworks that generate significant gross and net margins
-Promote consistent delivery excellence across the Alliance business units
-Manage utilization for all bench resources
-Assist with the development and delivery of proposals across all domains
-Other responsibilities include technical strategy, market positioning, quality assurance, and process improvement
-Duties include implementing approved business plans, business development, planning, developing proposals, project scheduling, assisting with recruiting, and ensuring that we are marketing our capabilities consistently and professionally on a regional basis
-Meets expectations for attendance and punctuality.
Technology/Skills Required:
-Significant experience in the design, build and implementation of Business Intelligence Solutions
-Working experience in various tools including:
Informatica, Cognos, Ascential, Oracle, SQL, Business Objects
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Strong organizational skills
-Excellent team building and presentation skills
-Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with management staff, employees, clients, and consultants
-Ability to develop long-term plans and programs and evaluate work accomplishments
-Ability to work independently, handle multiple priorities, and solve complex problems
-Strong attention to detail
-Strong ability to persuade and sell in the liaison role.
-Strong management skills
-Strong ability to create and sell business solutions
Education and Experience Required:
In addition to the standard set of technology skills, the ideal candidate will possess:
5-7 years of consulting experience
-Experience scoping, designing and building long-term relationships
-Experience in creating marketing materials to support service offerings
-Deep understanding of the business context of IT and the inherent opportunities and risks
