Alliance's team of professionals work together to maintain, support, and enhance a 24x7 systems and operations environment. The current organization includes level one, two and three support, as well as infrastructure support. In addition to support activities, 2006 brings our team significant development activities as well. The application, developed with Oracle and Manugistics, relates to the distribution of products to a high volume of stores via distribution centers.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as there will be a large amount of customer interaction, and well in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
* Management
1. Plan and manage technical resources executing software development lifecycle stages in the delivery of rapid releases of new/enhanced features.
2. Plan and manage technical resources in the delivery of level-1 Help Desk and level-2 production support services.
3. Manage technical capacity by assessing both the current workload distribution and current priorities of the engagement.
4. Responsible for the successful delivery of all service level goals agreed to under the current contract.
5. Maintain staffing levels on the current team throughout the engagement duration. (This includes participation in the interviewing/selection process, as well as making the final determination on resource selection).
6. Primary liaison/point-of-contact to communicate status with client management.
7. Service Level and Contract content development.
8. Conduct semi-annual performance reviews for all engagement team resources.
9. Participate in business development activities within the client domain.
* Technical
1. Perform any/all self-assigned tasks associated with the design, development, testing and implementation of software deliverables for new/modified functionality for the US Supply Chain suite of applications.
2. Perform any/all self-assigned tasks associated with the technical support of the US Supply Chain suite of applications.
* Process
1. Enforce existing production support and development processes and procedures.
2. Identify the need for, develop, implement and monitor new/changed production support and/or development processes/procedures.
Required Skills / Experience:
* Recent/demonstrated continuous record (3+ contiguous years) for managing a team of ~10 technical resources in both develop and support functions.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Excellent understanding of the differences between delivery and service quality, with ability to demonstrate past superior performance of both.
* Demonstrated track record in competently multi-tasking in a fast-paced development/support environment.
* Understanding of basic supply chain concepts.
* Technical Skills
1. Strong SQL understanding and experience
2. Strong PL/SQL package/procedure development experience
3. Strong UNIX shell scripting experience
4. Familiarity with Oracle Applications. Specifically, good understanding of Oracle concurrent manager, Oracle Inventory open interfaces and Oracle BOM.
5. Familiarity with Oracle AIM SDLC deliverables (specifically MD60, MD70, TE20, MD120)
6. Understanding of performance tuning concepts.
Please note that at this time, we are unable to provide relocation and this is a full-time salaried position with Alliance, so no contractual consultants will be considered.
